VW Van Centre West Yorkshire sponsor Claire O’Hara in 2011

I still can’t believe that it’s true; the team at the Volkswagen Van Centre West Yorkshire have just been in touch to say that they will be sponsoring me for the World Championship and the UK Freestyle British Championship series in 2011.

In 2009 & 2010 I was very fortunate to receive massive support from the VW Van Centre West Yorkshire who helped me safely get to the World Freestyle Kayaking Championships, in Switzerland and the European Freestyle Kayaking Championships, in Austria by sponsoring me with a fully logo’d and customised Volkswagen Transporter T5.

This year not only are they supporting me for the World Freestyle Kayaking Championships event in June but also for the entire British Championships series. They will be providing me with a brand new T5 for the full season from April all the way through to the last competition in November.

The Volkswagen Transporter vans are the ultimate kayaking vehicle providing brilliant driving and handling with loads of space for boats, paddles and kit as well as room for comfortably sleeping. This year the van is going to be even better as custom outfitting specialist Exploria are going to be fitting their new Kombi bed system into the van along with additional electrics and a fridge and once again Austhorpe Signs will be customising the outside of the van with logo and designs so you can all spot me out and about on the road.
