This weekend I was invited to speak and give out awards at the BCU Canoe England Volunteer and Athlete recognition dinner. It was a great night and celebrated the great work of volunteers in our sport and the international success of British athletes. It was a great honour to be invited up to the stage alongside a number of very successful british paddlers and be presented with an award for my success in the sport.
