Happy New Year

Jez got some awesome news just before Xmas that he would be working New Year's Eve at Byron Bay in Northern NSW. This was the best news ever as it was the perfect excuse for a road trip to the Gold Coast.

Within a couple of hours it was all booked. I had plans to spend New Year with our super amazing friends Matt and Dani and their family.

I flew in the day before and we went straight to the beach for a swim. It was perfect. The sun was shining and the whole place just had an amazing vibe. I love to Gold Coast. We hung out, ate amazing food, worked out a lot. We walked by the beach, swam on the beach, surfed on the beach, biked along the beach. Then as New Year drew in we watched the sun set and then the fireworks explode over the beach.

New Years Day we hit the beach again and I got the opportunity to do some kite surfing. My first time flying a kite in almost 10 months. I felt so awesome. I can't wait to get into this sport more and more. Then we caught up with Jez for an amazing SLSC lunch. Before cruising along the ocean highway on Matt's sweet motorbike. It was the perfect start to another amazing year.

The Gold Coast has become a very special place for us and to start the year up there, on the beach with such amazing friends was perfect.
